Care Guide

< How to care for your jewelry >
To ensure that your precious jewelry will last forever, here are some tips on how to care for it and the characteristics of gemstones.

  • Jewelry should be worn at the end of getting ready and taken off first.
Wear it at the end of getting ready. While getting ready to go out, there are many enemies of jewelry, such as hairspray and makeup. When putting on and taking off your clothes, chains can get caught and break, or even snag, damaging your clothes. In addition to avoiding force and impact, jewelry is delicate and we ask that you handle it with care.
  • Daily care
Gold and platinum jewelry should be wiped gently with a soft cloth. Use a soft fiber cloth, such as chamois leather or a commercially available precious metal cloth, to wipe away dirt and fingerprints.

  • Use of water and mild detergent
Do not wash jewelry with strong detergents or boiling water. These can damage the jewelry material and gemstones. To remove dirt, soak a small amount of neutral detergent in a diluted cup and gently wash the jewelry with a soft toothbrush or small brush. Then rinse with fresh water and wipe dry with kitchen paper. For jewelry with pearls, we recommend light brushing without prolonged soaking in water.

  • Notes for each gemstone
Some types require special care. For example, diamonds can be dulled by petroleum-based products, so avoid contact with these products. See the table below for details.

  • Storage method
Store them in individual bags and avoid direct contact with other jewelry or hard objects. This extra care in handling will prevent scratches and dust from adhering to your jewelry and keep it in good condition.

  • If it breaks...
Jewelry should be inspected regularly and repaired if abnormalities are found. If a stone clasp is loose or a metal fitting is bent, repair it as soon as possible to prolong the life of your precious jewelry. We offer repair services for jewelry purchased at our store for a fee, so please feel free to contact us using the inquiry form. (Depending on the condition, we may not be able to repair your jewelry.)
